We present with fahrrad.de, the first self-sufficient on-+offline service station in the SportScheck flagship store in Stuttgart

A real innovation at the point-of-sale - SportScheck's newly opened flagship store in Stuttgart merges three worlds at a single touchpoint: online ordering including determination of the optimal frame size in the fahrrad.de store and SportScheck's on-site service offering. The concept and design of the space is the result of a collaboration between Sportscheck's multisport experts, the e-commerce professionals at fahrrad.de (internetstores) and the sizing specialists at Smartfit.

The need for such a solution is enormous; more and more customers are using online stores to buy bicycles, but do not want to do without the services offered by stationary retailers. In Stuttgart, the cooperation project takes up this wish. Body measurement, selection and ordering all take place at the point of sale. If desired, the bike can be shipped and assembled directly in SportScheck's own workshop. SportScheck, fahrrad.de and Smartfit thus combine the service of precise offline body measurement, the advantages of online bike shopping and the stationary service of advice, bike assembly and repair.
